Welcome to Germany's Blog
Statement unserer Vision
Annette Esser member of the
European Women of Faith Network and a theologian
in Germany contributed to the writing of a book entitled European Projects and
Initiatives for Women’s Inter-religious Dialogue.
Religions for Peace European women of Faith
Network members initiated, planned and implemented public sponsored walks (Women Walking for Peace and against Poverty)
and multi religious events in Belgium, Bosnia, United
Kingdom, Macedonia, Germany, Spain, Finland, Netherlands and Sweden.
The events were
supported by religious leaders, politicians and members from different faith
communities. The numbers in each country varied, however the events managed to
give a greater profile to the UN Stand up
and Take Action Campaign highlighting the plight of billions who remain
trapped in poverty. Those who took part have committed themselves to further
action in the following year.
In Germany a
‘Dance for Peace’ event was organized by Dina Sharana Mataji. Members of
different religious communities participated, this was followed by a walk to
support the UN Stand Up and Take Action Campaign to end poverty.
